Huawei has developed a new technology that claims to charge smartphone batteries ten times faster than there ordinary speed. As you can see in the video below, the smartphones can be charged within a few minutes.

According to the video, the company seems to have an innovative quick charge solution which can refill 48% of battery in five minutes of time. The company also claims that this amount of charge is enough to sustain ten-hours of talk time. “That is 10 times faster than the current charging time,” claims Huawei.

The company says that this new technology will achieve high levels of charging efficiency and will not affect the battery life. This quick charging battery will also be implied to other electronic devices like electric vehicles, computers, mobile power supplies, and smartphones.

This video shows a 3,000mAh battery getting charged up to 48% in 5 minutes.

Huawei has also launched another video in which they showcase a 600mAh battery being charged up to 68% in two minutes. The video also showcases that the technology is quickly charging smartphone batteries but has a separate device for that. This indicates that the battery will have to be removed from the device. This could mean that the trend for removable batteries may start yet again through Huawei. The company has recently launched Honor 7X, Honor 9 Lite, and Honor View 10 which have non-removable batteries.
