Lava has launched India’s first Android Go phone, running Android Oreo. The company has launched the Lava Z50 at an actual price of Rs 4,400. However, with Airtel’s cashback offer worth Rs 2,000, you can grab this phone at an effective price of Rs 2,400. The phone is available at 100,000 retail stores, for it is a part of Airtel’s “mera pehla smartphone” programme. The phone is also available on Amazon, Flipkart and Snapdeal. It comes in Black and Gold colours.
In order to avail the cash back discount, you will have to recharge your Airtel number with a total amount of Rs 3,500 for the first eighteen months. Then, in the nineteen to thirty-six months, you will have to get the number recharged for a total sum of Rs 3,500. The Lava Z50 comes with a two-year warranty.

The phone was showcased at MWC 2018. It is a part of Google’s Android Go programme which focuses on providing affordable “smart” phones with all the latest OS updates and a support for all the major apps. The Lava Z50 runs Android 8.1 Oreo. It has a 4.5-inch FWVGA display with a resolution of 480 x 854p. The device runs on the MediaTek MT6737m quad-core processor, clocked at 1.1GHz.
The Lava Z50 comes with an average 1GB of RAM with an 8GB of ROM. The optics on the phone include a 5MP rear and 5MP selfie snapper with LED Flash. The camera features include bokeh mode (portrait mode), Face beauty, Funny Cam, HDR, Super Night, Video Beauty, Filter, Template, Panorama, GIF Mode, Intelligent Selfie, Sound Picture, and Child Mode.
The device has a 2000mAh battery capacity and carries a support for FM radio, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, GPS/ A-GPS, and Micro-USB.
