Foldable smartphones are all the rage right now. Many smartphone companies are trying their hand at it. Be it the Galaxy Fold or the Huawei Mate X, everybody is on to the bandwagon. And well, Lenovo just so happens to be the next member in the race. The company has filed a patent for a new foldable phone. And this one is pretty unique. So let’s take a look at what the Lenovo foldable phone looks like.
Lenovo foldable phone patent
Similar to the Moto Razr, Lenovo has filed a patent for its upcoming foldable phone. As you can see, it has a big hinge on the back letting you choose the flex point. This allows you to fold it halfway or almost fully. This way part of the screen remains visible and usable. Additionally, the bezels seem to be big enough to accommodate the front-facing camera and the earpiece. However, on the back side, there seems to be a single camera sensor.
Lenovo foldable phone renders
Based on the aforementioned patent, certain renders of the device have popped up. Do note that these are creative work and may or may not look like the final design.
Lenovo foldable phone launch date
As of now, there is no word as to when Lenovo will be launching its foldable smartphone. There has been talk of the company working on something concrete though. As such, stay tuned to Mr. Phone to get notified of all the buzz in the smartphone world.
