Lenovo Smart Clock Essential is the new smart home solution offering from the company launched in India. This comes as a new addition to Lenovo’s smart home offerings and could sit on your table in the living or bedroom as a digital smart clock. It supports hands-free interaction — comes with Google Assistant, and claims to be the first device from the company to support Hindi language commands as well.

The essential smart clock from Lenovo claims to be an intelligent digital clock that could save time for users with its so-called easy-to-read LED display. It can showcase real-time information at a glance, and promises to have convenient viewing angles from any corner of the room. Since it’s a clock primarily, the actual purpose of it binds to showcasing time alongside setting alarms.
For the latter, users can create alarms through Google Assistant, or, can set manually using buttons on the digital smart clock.
Further, there is a built-in light that claims to be a night-time companion to save you from bumping into things during night hours. There’s also an integrated USB port that could help you charge your smart devices including smartphones during the night.
Furthermore, the digital smart clock is said to be syncing with your calendar events; to give you smart alarm suggestions before the event day. Also, it features sunrise alarms for gentle morning wakeup by gradually increasing colour/brightness instead of directly ringing the alarm.
What’s in/on the clock?
The digital smart clock measures around 240grams and features a 4-inches LED display. There’s a built-in Amlogic A113X processor, underneath, which helps in performing actions. For audio: to take your voice input, it utilizes two microphones. And, there’s a 3W speaker for the output. All these enclosed in a rectangular wedge design structure, which comes with soft-touch materials up top in Grey colour. On the I/O, the smart clock has one microphone mute toggle, controlling volume toggle, play/pause button, and an alarm button.
The connectivity options of the digital smart clock comprise — dual-band Wi-Fi, and Bluetooth 5.0. For compatibility, Lenovo says that this clock can pair up with up to 40,000 smart home devices in the market (from over 5000 brands). The company further implies that the aforementioned software features are India-specific including the Hindi language support.
Lenovo Smart Clock Essential — Pricing and Availability
The Lenovo Smart Clock Essential will be available for sale starting from February 19th across Lenovo site, Flipkart and comes to offline stores, later this year. The digital smart clock comes in a single colour variant i.e Soft Touch Grey and retails at Rs 4,499.
