LG K42 is the new budget offering from the handset maker that has been launched in India. The company says that LG K42 is built to be durable and has passed the Mil-Std 810G certification. It further implies that the device has also been verified by US Military Standard Tests and claims to be sturdy enough to pass nine categories that include — high temperature, low temperature, vibration, shock, to name a few. The company is going to such extent to this K series device durability that it’s offering an additional free second-year coverage alongside the limited one year warranty.

LG K42 — Tech Specs
The LG K42 comes with a punch-hole display to house the selfie camera. It measures 6.6-inches and features HD+ resolution. The display is enclosed in the military standard 810G certification build on the rear, which further features a wavy pattern for a better grip. The build also provides UV coating that should keep the device resistant to scratches. There’s a dedicated Google Assistant button as well, which doubles up to trigger LG’s Visual Snapshot in the interface when pressed twice.
The LG K42 beneath equips a MediaTek Helio P23 SoC coupled with 3GB of RAM and 64GB of onboard storage. For optics, the device has a quad rear camera setup. These are AI-powered cameras comprising a 13MP primary, 5MP wide-angle, 2MP depth and 2MP macro sensors. The punch hole on the front equips an 8MP selfie shooter. LG is throwing in additional features to the camera like Flash Jump Cut that takes up to four pictures with some intervals.
The phone attains a decent 4000mAh battery capacity that charges through USB Type-C. The other highlights of the new LG K42 include Bluetooth 5.0, Game launcher, side-mounted fingerprint sensor, Google Lens integration.

The LG K42 comes in a single storage variant 3GB+64GB and costs Rs 10,990. It will be available for purchase through Flipkart and features in two colour variants — Grey and Green.
