LG V40 event launch event on October 3 teased with hints of triple camera

LG V40 ThinQ receives certification

LG has finally revealed the launch date of its forthcoming V40 flagship smartphone in a teaser today. The chaebol has set up the event for October 4 at the LG Science Park in Seoul’s Magok District. There will be a global press event just before that day in NYC for audience across the world. The company shared a video teaser as well which probably confirms the triple camera setup on the rear of the phone. Take a look at the teaser below.

We aren’t short of information regarding the LG V40 as leaks have been kind to us in this matter. Obviously, the main focus will be the triple camera. Until now, leaks have suggested a normal lens with 12MP f/1.5 lens and 1.4-micron pixels which be complemented by a 6MP f/1.9 wide-angle lens and a 2MP f/2.4 2x optical zoom lens to complete the trio. The video teaser hints at these three types of lenses too and LG has not kept it secret.

As for the other stuff, expect all the bling that we see on a premium phone from LG. The Snapdragon 845, 6GB of RAM at least, and you will probably see a notch this time on the V series as many renders have shown thus far.
