LG WK7 Smart Speaker

Today LG has released its first smart speaker in India called WK7. It was originally unveiled earlier this year in the United States. It will be retailing in India for a hefty MRP Rs 27,990 across company’s all offline and online retail partners and its own retail stores as well. India is at quite a nascent stage when it comes to the smart speaker, it was last year when brands like Amazon and Google introduced its respective smart speakers. Let’s talk about the LG WK7 smart speaker specifications below.

LG WK7 Specs

Built-in chromecast, this LG smart speaker comes powered by Google Assistant, it can be voice controlled via command “Ok Google”. Sound tuned by MERIDIAN, a UK based premium audio equipment maker. By showcasing the partnership with LG, the company is putting its smart speaker in front of all the existing smart speakers like Amazon Echo lineup and Google Home.

The company is fondly claiming it offers high-quality audio playback when compared to other smart speakers in India. Talking further about the LG WK7 features, it not only comes with a Wi-Fi capability, but can act as a Bluetooth speaker as well. Which is nothing astonishing since Alexa Echo Plus also offers that at Rs 14,999. It has a high-res audio output of 192 KHz/24bit.

This is LG’s first smart speaker offering in India. It claims to offer a perfect blend of AI technology, Meridian audio, and Google assistance to your day to day life. If you’re looking for a premium smart speaker experience, you’d have to pay a hefty price tag for it. Almost thrice compared to Google’s own Home speaker, and two when compared to Amazon’s Echo Plus, its premium offering.
