MediaTek has announced a new processor for the Helio family. The MediaTek Helio P95 is the successor of the Helio P90. We get to see a new set of improvements with the new P95 processor but nothing drastic.

You get to see the same CPU architecture that comes with 2x ARM Cortex – A75 performance cores and 6x ARM Cortex – A55 efficiency cores. Each performance core is clocked at 2.2GHz and each efficiency core is clocked at 2.0GHz. We don’t get to see any changes in terms of GPU. The PowerVR GM 9446 GPU is now improved to offer 10% better performance. The AI processing unit has also received a 10% performance gain.
The Helio P95 supports the triple Image Signal Processor. OEMs get to include either a single 64MP sensor or up to 24MP and 16MP in dual camera setup. It can handle 14-bit RAW and 10-bit YUV processing. It also receives a range of AI-based camera enhancements. These include 5-person human pose tracking, full-body avatar AR, 3D pose tracking, AR/MR acceleration, and a new AK-NR low-light camera mode.
For gamers, you get to see a new HyperEngine technology which is a first for the P series. With software level enhancements, consumers can expect an improved gaming experience. In terms of connectivity, the processor features 4G LTE WorldMode modem with LTE Cat-12 download and Cat-13 upload speeds. It also supports Wi-Fi 5, Bluetooth 5.0, 4×4 MIMO, 3CA, 256QAM, and 4G dual SIM VoLTE.
