The Snapdragon 710 has quickly found takers in the Mi 8 SE, and Vivo Nex, soon after its surprising launch. Now, Meizu is also said to be working on a smartphone dedicated to the new flagship-grade chipset. And no, it’s not the Meizu 18 we’re talking about because that’s confirmed earlier from the company founder. This is another device called Meizu X8. Also, this piece of info is coming right from the horse’s mouth. So, there’s no worrying about authenticity here.
Meizu X8 or Meizu 18?
Meizu’s founder and CEO, Jack Wong (a.k.a Huang Zhang), just recently posted in the community forum that the Meizu X8 will come ready with the 10nm-based chip that has Kryo 360 cores and has an Adreno 616 as GPU.
While it does use Kryo 360 cores, it didn’t impress much when it recorded 170,000 points on benchmarking site AnTuTu. However, it is said to perform better at AI tasks than most other mid-range chips.
Wong who is the chief outlet for everything related to the Meizu 16 has already confirmed that the Meizu 16 is coming in August. A comprehensive leak in the past week revealed a lot about the two upcoming Meizu flagships apart from the fact that it will get a Snapdragon 710 variant.
