Xiaomi Mi A1 faces fingerprint and battery issues after Android Oreo update

Xiaomi Mi A1

Xiaomi Mi A1 has recently received the Android 8.0 Oreo update. The device had received the same update sometime earlier as well but the company had to take it back due to some issues. Last week, after solving all the issues, Xiaomi rolled out the update again.

However, this time also, users are facing issues due to the update. Some users have complained about the battery drain and fingerprint issues. Users have taken to Reddit, XDA forum and Xiaomi’s forum, to report these issues.

After this update, some units need to be charged twice a day. Users are also facing lag issues while unlocking their phones through the fingerprint sensor. Xiaomi has confirmed that it is working on solving these problems.
