Xiaomi Mi 6X Aka Mi A2

Mi A2 Almost Confirmed

The publication cited sources saying that not only the Mi A2 exists, it will also be introduced in the coming months. Furthermore, they say that the Mi A2 will indeed look like the Mi 6X, which is not a surprise. The handset will first launch in Taiwan following which there should be launches in other Asian countries. Do note that Xiaomi never confirmed that they would be launching a Mi A1 successor anywhere. This is why this report is of significance. As per the report, the Redmi 6, the Redmi 6A, and Redmi 6 Pro are also now confirmed to launch overseas.

Notably, the A2 was spotted on an EEC document with a host of other unreleased Xiaomi devices. This did hint at a future release of the handset in Europe. In a related story, a Mi A2 Lite has just passed Singapore’s IMDA. From the model number verified, it can be seen that it resembles the Redmi 6 Pro and its brethren. If Xiaomi is launching a Lite version, surely a standard Mi A2 would only be a matter of time.
