We know that Xiaomi is launching the drool-worthy Mi A2 in India on August 8. The handset already offers incredible value for money but there’s something that will make the phone even more irresistible. Xiaomi just revealed to India Today Tech that the handset will be capable of Qualcomm’ fourth generation fast charging tech i.e. Quick Charge 4.0.

That’s a silver lining on the already cool upgrades the Mi A2 is bringing this year over its predecessor. However, to take advantage of this, you’ll have to purchase a separate charger that can enable such fast charging speeds. Also, it’s a bummer Xiaomi didn’t go ahead and enable Quick Charge 4+ support. That would have been super awesome. However, considering Europe is just getting Quick Charge 3.0, we should be happy.
There are some more differences that will be in the Indian variant – colours. India will get an additional Rose Gold colour over the already available Black, Blue, and Gold options.
What does concern us is the pricing. Europe doesn’t have it for cheap. The base variant of the Mi A2 (4GB + 32GB) costs as much as 249 Euros (roughly Rs 20,071). Although that is still not a bad deal, it is far from Xiaomi’s high standards in India. It is possible there will be a much better price tag for the Indian consumer.
The Mi A2 succeeds the highly popular Mi A1 and brings upgrades all across the board with a better display, more powerful processor, and an awesome new array of cameras.
