Leaks surrounding the Mi Max 3 have been pouring in like the Monsoon rain in Mumbai this year. This time we have a video of a Mi Max 3 prototype in Gold colour. We’ve already seen lots of images of the handset and if that were not enough, TENAA’s footage should definitely satiate your curiosity. However, bear in mind that the footage isn’t as elaborate as the one on the Mi A2 leaked last month. It is just four seconds long but it does the job.
The most prominent change this year with the phablet line of Xiaomi this year will undoubtedly be the screen. Like all other phones this year, Xiaomi has switched to the in-trend 18:9 aspect ratio. That also means no notch with a sigh of relief from notch haters. The front bezels are quite thin and the rear has a similar camera placement to the Note 5 Pro.
As for specifications, the Max 3 will adorn a 6.9-inch display with acres of real estate and a dual camera being the highlight of the phone. The dual camera consists of a 12MP + 5MP combo working in unison for photos and a titanic 5,500mAh battery.
There is also a Pro variant of the Mi Max 3 that has been rumoured earlier that will presumably feature a Snapdragon 710. It will also have upgraded cameras of 20MP + 8MP on the rear, as per reports.
Xiaomi has been teasing the arrival of the phone without letting out details of the launch date of the phablet. However, we’re expecting a launch this month itself and an Indian launch to follow soon after that.
