Well, Xiaomi has finally let the cat out of the bag and declared the launch date of the Mi Max 3. The phablet launches next week on July 19 in China. The event was confirmed via multiple posts on Weibo and a global spokesperson on Twitter as well. The event will be held at 7:30 PM CST that is 5 PM IST. This announcement comes after CEO Lei Jun posted a photo of a retail box on Weibo confirming the handset.

The Mi Max 3 has already received necessary TENAA certificates and most specifications of the big phone are already out, as is the design. The handset will be receiving a 6.9-inch Full-HD+ display with an 18:9 aspect ratio. The new aspect ratio should allow a bigger screen in the same chassis used on the Mi Max 2 thus not expanding the overall footprint of the phone.
Thankfully, the Mi Max 3 doesn’t have a notch and it will feature a 5,500mAh battery while the processor is still a question mark. Some expect a Snapdragon 636 while a Snapdragon 710 Pro variant is also highly believed to be in the works.
