We’re now in our final stage of pre-launch leaks for the Mi Max 3. We reported yesterday that the rate at which details of the Max 3 have seeped out of Xiaomi HQ, there would be only the pricing info that will be the most anticipated thing. Well, now we also have those for you.
Mi Max 3 Specifications
The source of the new information is Xiaomi’s own official account. Taking a look at the image below, it is clear that the Mi Max 3 will be served in a 4GB/6GB RAM variety and storage options will be 64GB/128GB. Price is not completely revealed but we now know that it can’t go past 2000 Yuan, which puts it below $300 or Rs 18,000. That should be the base price and the other versions should be more expensive.
Early morning, Xiaomi’s President was once again the culprit for a leak that spilled all the beans regarding the spec-sheet. Below follows its hardly astonishing summary. Xiaomi’s latest addition-to-be in the phablet segment has a massive 6.9-inch display, thanks to the 18:9 aspect ratio, it has been fitted in the same footprint as the Max 2. It has a 5,500mAh battery, a tad bigger than then the Max 2 (5200mAh) and it does have sorely needed Quick Charge 3.0.
All confusion regarding the processing chip has been put to rest with Xiaomi opting for a totally acceptable Snapdragon 636, which we predicted all along. The rear cameras are of a dual formation: 12MP + 5MP sensors and the front has a single 8MP sensor. Then there’s AI, AI, and AI. Xiaomi will probably stuff the Mi Max 3 with Xiao AI, its own version of Google Assistant which we don’t expect to see in India. There’s face unlock, and AI scene recognition and some more stuff for the camera. The Mi Max 3 launches tomorrow in China.
