Xiaomi Mi Mix 2S with SD845 confirmed for March 27; specs leaked again

Xiaomi Mi Mix 2S leaked render

Mobile World Congress is in full swing with brands like Samsung and Nokia ruling the show. However, Asian OEMs like Huawei and Xiaomi didn’t make their presence felt this year. The former introduced the Mediapad M5 and the latter hasn’t made it to the news yet. But are you missing something? Yes, you are. Xiaomi has decided to launch the Mi Mix 2S on March 27 in direct competition to Huawei’s P20 line-up.

Now, this is some major news since Xiaomi introduced the “bezel-less” design with its Mi Mix. The Mi Mix 2 took the legacy a bit forward with premium specs and the powerful Snapdragon 835 under the hood. The Mi Mix 2S is a major flagship of the company and it will carry the latest Snapdragon 845 octa-core processor.

Xiaomi Mi Mix 2S leaks again

Just in line with this announcement, the phone has leaked yet again. The device has been leaked through a screenshot which seems to have been captured on its screen. The leak has confirmed the Snapdragon 845 processor, recently seen on Galaxy S9 and Sony Xperia XZ2 phones. Along with this, the screenshot reveals a 6.01-inch display with a resolution of 1080 x 2160p. Yes, the device is bezel-less in its true sense and comes with an 18:9 aspect ratio display.

Mi Mix 2S leaked again

Moving forward, the Mi Mix 2S has been mentioned to carry 8GB of RAM and 256GB of ROM. Can this be one of its many variants? A 16MP main shooter is also listed in the image and we are waiting to see if this is true at all. However, the phone in the leaked image has a symmetrical round panel. This comes as a contradiction to an earlier leak where we saw the front camera protruding from the top right corner of the panel.

Has Xiaomi skipped the front camera to make the device completely bezel-less? It may be the case that the company has taken inspiration from Vivo and opted for an innovative APEX concept. What are your views on this leak? Let us know in the comments section below.
