Right from the first leak of the Mi Mix 3, we have been looking at a completely bezel-less design of the next generation of the Mix series. As pumped as we are to see the new design, we knew this would inevitably lead to some sort of price rise. While we didn’t have a clue earlier, now a new leak shows a detailed picture of how our pockets will look after we purchase a Mix 3. Obviously, this is leaked pricing and we need not take this to heart as the official pricing could be different.
The base version starts at $510 and if it is in Ceramic, it will cost $660. The highest end variant costs $649 for the standard version and the Ceramic version costs $795, still, a modest price considering what Apple charges for its phones. For more detailed pricing, look at the chart below.
- 6GB RAM + 64GB ROM: roughly Rs. 35,100 for Standard Edition, roughly Rs. 45,400 for Ceramic Edition
- 6GB RAM + 128GB ROM: roughly Rs. 38,200 for Standard Edition, roughly Rs 48,500 for Ceramic Edition
- 8GB RAM + 128GB ROM: roughly Rs. 41,300 for Standard Edition, roughly Rs. 51,600 for Ceramic Edition
- 8GB RAM + 256GB ROM: roughly Rs. 44,400 for Standard Edition, roughly Rs. 54,700 for Ceramic Edition
Recent rumblings on the rumour mill have suggested a Ferrari Edition of the Mix series will also be launched this year. Some outrageous specs like a 512GB storage and a huge fast charging battery have been tipped for the phone.
A recently alleged teaser suggested a pop-out camera on the bezel-less beauty. What is suspicious though is none of the live images that have leaked recently actually show the pop-out camera, or, for that matter, even the top-edge of the phone. It would be interesting to see if Xiaomi makes some improvements to its pop-out camera. Some other info coming from Weibo also suggested a front camera hidden in the display.
Current info points to a launch in September with Xiaomi understandably still not spilling any beans on the upcoming Mix series phones. There still a couple of months to go and something tells me we’ll see some interesting things.
