Xiaomi’s Mi Pad 4 is getting released on June 25 alongside the Redmi 6 Pro in China. While that is just four days far, the company has confirmed two interesting features of the upcoming slate.
Mi Pad 4 Specifications
A new teaser on Weibo has cleared the air regarding the processor’s identity. Xiaomi is opting for the powerful Snapdragon 660 chipset on its upcoming fourth generation of Mi Pad. If our memory serves us well, the XDA report in April about the Mi Pad 4 was on point. They dived into some firmware files of the tablet handed over to them and also reported a Snapdragon 660 for the first time.
Also, confirmed now is the 8-inch display which could very well be Full-HD+ or 18:9 in aspect ratio, says the XDA report. Now, 18:9 isn’t harsh for small body phones but when it comes to tablets, that might be more of an inconvenience in regular use.
As for other specs, talk around Chinese circles is that the Mi Pad 4 will get a 13MP rear camera and a 5MP front shooter while packing a satisfactory 6,000mAh battery.
The Mi Pad 4 has also reached US shores as it cleared the FCC recently. This also signals a release in the US is near. As for India, there aren’t current indications that it is coming anytime soon. However, the new Redmi 6 series is expected in around two months.
