Micromax has planned to launch an entry-level 4G VoLTE phone feature phone that will compete directly with the Reliance Jio Phone. According to the latest Economics Times report,  the Bharat One 4G VoLTE feature phone will be launched in the first week of October for about Rs. 2,000.

In Comparision, JioPhone costs around Rs. 1500 only which, as I see it, gives people a choice even at this aggressive price bracket. Micromax is teaming up with BSNL for voice and data offers for their customers. A Micromax executive told ET that Bharat One will have a larger display, longer battery life, and a much better camera. While other specifications of the device are scarce to come to a conclusion, but here’s what a Micromax Executive told ET:

The idea is to have a device that can give competition to Reliance’s JioPhone. There is a huge market of 500 million feature phone users who would want to have more than one option.
