Motorola’s E5 Plus is set to receive a cosmetic makeover this year alongside the G6 series. We’ve had a couple of looks at leaked renders earlier and a new HD render has surfaced a couple of days back. The new render of the Moto E5 Plus is almost like an official render as it gives us a very clear look at the design of the handset. The Moto E5 Plus will probably be souped up Moto E5.

Sourced from Evan Blass, known for finding unreleased smartphone renders, this is definitely a legit render. Coming to the design itself, we can say that Motorola is surely upping its game and it sure has to. Chinese manufacturers are now packing their affordable phones with more value than ever. In such a super competitive market, players have to stay on top of their game.
The Moto E5 Plus in the image borrows a lot of elements from the leaked G6 series. Especially the big chunky bezel on the bottom despite the 2:1 aspect ratio display. The exact size of the display is not known but it could be anything upwards of 5.5-inches. Motorola’s branding also isn’t going anywhere as it keeps its place. However, the fingerprint scanner is nowhere to be seen at the front.
That is because the Moto E5 has been repeatedly tipped to hide the fingerprint under the Moto dimple on the rear. If you look closely, you might see dual camera lenses on the rear, but the source denies there will be a dual camera on the entry-level handset.
The Moto E5 Plus will also feature a USB Type-C port and a big 4,000mAh battery. The handset has received the FCC nod last month and looks ready to launch in the first quarter of this year. Moreover, the handset should be priced under the Rs 10,000 mark. The Moto E5 will likely inherit design traits of its predecessor coming with more traditional aspect ratios.
