Motorola has introduced its top of the line Moto Z2 Force in India today. The handset that launched way back in July 2017, makes its way to Indian shores after more than six months. The reasons for such a big delay are not known, but this is quite late even by Motorola’s standards. The company has also launched a Moto TurboPower mod which is an extra battery pack that sticks to the back of the modular phone.
Despite a late launch, Motorola’s Z2 Force is still a force to reckon with. It comes with a premium metal chassis, top-notch hardware, and near to stock Android.
The Moto Z2 Force features a 5.5-inch Quad HD P-OLED display coated with ShatterShield. The metal build consists of a sturdy 7000 series aluminium that makes it a strong construction. As for the rear, the handset has a dual camera setup and a set of connector pins at the bottom for the Moto mods.
Under the hood, Motorola’s modular phone sports the Snapdragon 835 chip with 6GB of RAM and 128GB of internal storage. Of course, there’s support for micro SD cards up to 2TB.
On the camera front, the rear houses a duo of 12MP shooters with f/2.0 aperture. The setup has one RGB lens while the other is a monochrome lens encased in a protruding circular module at the back. The rear camera supports Bokeh effects, PDAF, laser AF, as well as 4K video recording. But It lacks OIS. Beneath it lies the iconic Motorola dimple. Flipping to the front, it houses a single 5MP selfie snapper with f/2.2 aperture supported by LED flash.
Moto Z2 Force is packed with a 2730mAh battery that supports TurboPower charging. It does come with Android Nougat out of the box but we expect it to get Android Oreo.
In the connectivity department, Wi-Fi 802.11ac, Bluetooth 4.2, and USB Type-C are supported. The phone does not have a 3.5mm headphone jack. Also, there’s NFC, GPS, and 4G VoLTE support as well.
The phone will cost you Rs 34,999 and is a Flipkart exclusive. Will you buy this phone? Let us know in the comments section below.
