Nokia 1, one of the only two Android Go phones running Oreo, launched at MWC

Nokia has launched the Nokia 1 at MWC today. The event has started today itself in Barcelona, Spain. The device is the first Android Go phone by HMD Global. Android Go is a special program by Google to increase and enhance the usage of the internet in emerging economies. The phones under this program will have a special Go version of apps for a consistent use.

The phone leaked multiple times and has been launched at a price of 85 Euros. Let’s look into the specs and important features of the Nokia 1:

Nokia 1 – specs and features

Nokia 1 carries a 4.5-inch display with a resolution of 480 x 854p. Nokia hasn’t released all the specs on this phone. The released images show the verticle camera setup on the back. The device has arrived with 1GB of RAM and 8GB of ROM. The phone comes without a selfie snapper. The device runs Android Oreo as it is a part of Android Go program.

It is worth mentioning that all Nokia devices from Nokia 3 onwards have been upgraded to Android One program and will now carry all the latest Android updates for the next two years.

Nokia 1 will be available for buying globally from April. It comes with Express-on covers which are basically very attractive colourful covers.
