Good news, Nokia users. The company is now offering the latest Android 9 Pie on its Nokia 6.1 Plus handset via it beta labs program. Through this program, people can volunteer to have an early access to the software updates and give their feedback. Using their experience, the company makes the necessary changes and rolls out the safe update for all users.
Some important features of the Android 9 on Nokia 6.1 Plus:
App Actions – Helps you get things done faster by predicting your next move and displaying the right action on your phone. This feature is only available on Android One and Google Pixel devices
Slices – Identifies relevant information of your favourite apps to make them more easily accessible when you need them
Adaptive Battery – Uses deep learning to understand usage patterns and prioritise battery power on important apps
Adaptive Brightness – Automatically adapts phone brightness by learning from your interactions with different settings
New system navigation– Features a single home button that provides intelligent predictions and suggestions (user enabled)
Additionally, the Android 9 update on Nokia 6.1 Plus will also keep your digital well-being in check. The phone will highlight screen time and phone usage including how many times the device has been unlocked and the number of notifications received. You can also set daily time limits on app usage and a daily schedule to get your phone ready for bed.

The Nokia 6.1 Plus was launched in August this year with a beautiful glass body, 19:9 aspect ratio display and dual-rear cameras. The phone will be available with a price cut of Rs 1,000 during the Flipkart Big Billion Days. This will bring down its effective price from Rs 15,999 to Rs 14,999. The sale begins tomorrow at 12:00 am.
