Nokia 8110 4G the “Banana phone” coming to India in September; report

While the Nokia 8110 4G feature phone was showcased way back at MWC 2018, the Banana-shaped handset has still to arrive in India. However, 91mobiles have exclusively learned that the handset is not far from launch on Indian turf. The HMD Global-backed brand released the much awaited Nokia 6.1 Plus, Nokia 5.1 Plus in India today and this is the source of the new information.

As per the publication, Juho Sarvikas, Chief Product Officer of HMD Global told them that Nokia will launch the 8110 4G in India next month. However, when exactly that will happen is still under wraps.

Nokia 8110 4G Specs

Just taking a look back at the feature phone, it comes with a 2.4-inch curved QVGA display and a Qualcomm 205 SoC that is backed by 512MB of RAM. There’s also 4GB of inbuilt storage and the small screen runs KaiOS. The operating system runs a handful of apps like Google Assistant, Search, Google Maps, Twitter, and Facebook. The feature phone has a 1,500mAh battery and a 2MP rear camera as well.

For connectivity, the Nokia 8110 4G supports 4G, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 4.1, and A-GPS, as well as micro-USB 2.0. The Nokia device costs €79 (~Rs 6,400) in Europe and comes in Yellow and Black shades. We should expect similar pricing in India.
