nokia x - Nokia 9

HMD Global is preparing to introduce a new Nokia phone, which it touts as the “most awaited phone”, is coming on August 21st. The Finnish handset maker has posted a teaser on its Twitter channel. It teases that Nokia is possibly coming up with a new flagship phone dubbed as Nokia 9. While the quote mentioned in the tweet does sound vague, but it does indicate that Nokia has something up its sleeves in terms of a premium offering.

While in India, the brand is all set to introduce its Nokia 6.1 Plus, originally known as Nokia X6. The global audience could see a flagship product whereas India will receive a premium mid-ranger. Nokia has been due for an upgrade on its premium segment and this could be the perfect timeline to rival the brands like Samsung and LG, who have recently unveiled its flagship products.

Nokia 9: Could it be real?

Furthermore, the IFA Berlin event is around the corner, and we expect a flagship phone from HMD Global, unless they pull a fast one on us. Talking about the specifications, it is believed to be sporting an in-display fingerprint sensor. Plus, the biggest factor for the success of a new Nokia 9 flagship phone would be its camera package. Two rear cameras have become a standard, but could we see three of them? We’ll have to wait till August 21 to find out.

Given the Nokia utilizes stock Android, and the Android Pie is official, we may see this mysterious Nokia handset running on the latest stock Android 9.0 based UI. We won’t have to wait long to find out what Nokia has in store for its audience. Stay tuned to Mr. Phone for more updates.
