The OnePlus 5T to get Android 8.0 Oreo-based Oxygen OS update soon

OnePlus’ flagships have had an interesting year thus far when it comes to Android 8.0 Oreo update. The OnePlus 5T has not yet received the beta version but the company has laid out some hints that it soon will. A beta Oxygen OS build based on Android Oreo is already available for the OnePlus 3, OnePlus 3T, and the OnePlus 5

Earlier today a tweet was posted by the company’s official Dutch account states that an Oreo update for the OnePlus 5T Oreois incoming. This is a sigh of relief for most OnePlus 5T users. To rewind, OnePlus had actually promised an update to Oreo at the time of the launch. OnePlus 5T

The device has a 6.01-inch display with a resolution of 1080 x 2160p. It has a dual-camera setup with two 16MP + 20MP rear cameras, and another 16MP front camera for selfies. It is available in Black and Gray, and has recently been launched in an exclusive Star Wars Last Jedi theme.

The device weighs 162g and runs on the Qualcomm Snapdragon 835 processor. It is available in two variants, one that comes with 6GB of RAM and 64GB of internal storage, while the other comes with 8GB of RAM and 128GB of internal storage. It also has a 3,300mAh battery.
