OnePlus 5T Star Wars edition announced, exclusive to India

Now OnePlus has accustomed us tech consumers to not only high specs at more reasonable price tags but also for releasing exclusive editions of its devices in limited runs.

Last year we saw a special Colette edition of the OnePlus 3T, which kept the same specs as the 3T, but was matte black and had the Colette engraved on the lower back of the phone, for those who want to show their status symbol. So, for those with some extra bling on the side, living in Paris where the Colette store is located, well, they could have opted for this variant.

Shortly after that, OnePlus released a Midnight Black limited run of the 3T, and subsequently a Midnight Black version of the OnePlus 5.

The O5 itself also got a special, rather extravagant Castelbajac edition, also through Colette, and the OnePlus 5T got a limited Lava Red in China.

Now, OnePlus, yes you guessed right, did it again, and in view of the new movie Star Wars: The Last Jedi which hit the cinemas this month, the company released a variant of the 5T, namely the OnePlus 5T Star Wars edition.

So, what are the differences and/or enhancements I hear you say? Coming up, I am here to explain.

You can download the special OnePlus 5T Star Wars wallpapers on your device!

The latest edition has a white back, while it retained the black front. The camera lens is adorned with black, the company’s logo just beneath the fingerprint scanner is also in black, even the volume rocker. I must say that it gives a nice effect against the white backdrop.

Then we have the Star Wars logo engraved in red at the bottom back of this model, while the alert slider is also in red, again giving that pleasant contrast, eye catching, original, clean and nice effect.

OnePlus included some nice Star Wars wallpapers too which accompany the model out of the box, which is always a nice addition, apart from the usual cases.

The OP5T Star Wars edition is already available for pre-purchase in India as it kick-started on December 14, which was a day before the theatrical release of The Last Jedi.

So, Star Wars fans, I bet that by now we got you drooling with all this tasty info, courtesy of the company. Yeah, I hear ya, being a Star Wars fan myself, I can safely say that the Force is strong with this one.

At the time of writing, there is no word that the OP5T Star Wars edition will be eventually available for the rest of the world, but we hope to hear more from OnePlus in the coming weeks. So, stay tuned and may the force be with you.
