From its inception, the OnePlus brand is built upon killer price tags and flagship grade hardware. However, with each passing generation, the company has seemed to inch further away from its core motto. This year, with the OnePlus 6, we’ll see the most expensive OnePlus device yet. At least, that is what the latest leaked pricing suggests.
Coming from GizmoChina, the leaked pricing of the OnePlus 6 is suggested to start at 3,299 Yuan or $523. This is for the 64GB variant. The 128GB and 256GB variant pricing has leaked as well. According to a source close to the publication, they will be priced 3,799 Yuan ($602) and 4,399 Yuan ($697) respectively. Comparing it to last year’s OnePlus 5T, the base variant cost 2,999 Yuan or $475. That is a price jump of almost $50. In India, this should translate to an increased cost of around Rs 3,000 as per current info.
Moreover, the publication has also posted images of a back cover which corroborates previous leaks about the rear camera placement. As for the launch. we’re expecting the OnePlus 6 to launch later this month, or at the latest, next month. Leaks of the handset have picked up pace since last month when we saw a render of the device from Onleaks as well a spec sheet also show up online.
The Chinese publication maintains that the pricing data is accurate as their source is reliable and has a good past history of leaks. Stay tuned to Mr. Phone and download our app to get the latest updates from the world of smartphone technology.
