OPPO has launched the OPPO A3 in China. The phone is an upper mid-range device with a price tag of CNY 2,099 or Rs 22,000 (approx). It has been launched four colour variants – Black, Silver, Pink and Red. The phone is expected to reach India but we cannot predict the exact time frame. The OPPO A3 contains an iPhone X-like notch, just like the OPPO F7. Along, with this, the device carries a Face Unlock feature which can work its magic within 0.08 seconds.
OPPO A3: specs and features
The USP of this phone is its unique rear panel design. There appears to be a triangular design beneath the glass rear panel, much like the Diamond Cut variant of the OPPO F7. The phone looks quite premium with a glass rear, notch and such a distinguished design.
The OPPO A3 comes with a rather large 6.2-inch IPS LCD panel with an FHD+ resolution and 19:9 aspect ratio display. Just like the OPPO F7, this phone runs on the MediaTek Helio P60 octa-core processor, coupled with Mali-G72 MP3 GPU. The RAM on the phone is 4GB with 128GB of ROM. The internal storage is expandable via microSD card.
The camera setup on the phone includes a single shooter on the back and a selfie snapper. This is quite rare nowadays as all the companies are making thin, bezel-less phones with dual rear camera setup. The rear camera on the OPPO A3 contains a 16MP sensor with an aperture of f/1.8. The front camera includes an 8MP sensor with an aperture of f/2.2. The phone runs Android Oreo out-of-the-box with ColorOS 5.0 skin on top. The phone looks elegant and premium for the price range and we cannot wait for its arrival in India.
