OPPO F9 Pro with a tiny notch and VOOC fast charging launched in India

OPPO has introduced its latest F series handset in India, the new F9 Pro comes with a price tag of Rs 23,990. The Chinese smartphone brand has been teasing this handset on its social media channels for quite a long now. The brand has finally made it official in the country. The new phone will be competing in the sub-Rs 25,000 price category. The handset will go on sale from August 31st on all leading online and offline retail chains.

OPPO F9 Pro Specs

Starting with the display, it comes with a 6.3-inch full-HD+ resolution display and sports a 19:9 aspect ratio. This is believed to be the smallest notch display yet. With a V-shaped notch, it even claims to look less ugly than other notch displays out there in the market.

Talking about the internals of the device, it will be powered by an Helio P60 processor, which can be seen on many OPPO phones. It could be accompanied by up to 6GB of RAM and 128GB of internal storage. Note that the storage can be expanded via microSD card slot.

 As far as the camera department is concerned, you’ll see a dual-rear camera setup. Where the primary lens is of 16MP resolution and secondary lens will be of 2MP resolution. For selfies, there is a 25MP snapper with improved AI capabilities. The aperture of the primary rear lens is f/1.85 and selfie lens is f/2.0.

OPPO has highlighted the battery segment of the device, says it packs the fastest charging battery technology. It claims to offer 2 hours of talk-time on just five minutes charging. Now that is quite a claim. The battery juice is at 3500mAh, let’s hope what OPPO says is true.
