OPPO’s Find X is due to be unleashed on June 19. And from the info that we’ve just got our hands on, it will be a monster of a device. It seems OPPO is setting up a perfect showdown this year with Vivo’s Nex line also launching soon. Needless to say, these will be the two flagships to beat in 2018 with both handsets oozing innovative tech. Speaking of which OPPO has just confirmed Super VOOC, 5x lossless optical zoom, and state-of-the-art 5G capabilities for the handset.

What would be unique on OPPO Find X?
As regards Super VOOC, it is an evolution of VOOC technology that OPPO already has. It promises incredibly faster charge times of around 15 minutes for a 2,500mAh battery. That means you can just charge your phone while you’re getting ready for your office. Oppo achieves this via a brand new low voltage pulse algorithm and customized batteries. However, the charger is the same 5V/4A (20W) as found in the listing.
As for 5X lossless zoom, there’s no mistaking who OPPO is competing with. It has the Huawei P20 Pro with 3x optical zoom in sight. OPPO’s using a periscope-style telephoto lens that allows for a 90-degree diversion of light. It’s also 10 percent thinner than other 2x modules.

Last but not least, Oppo will soon launch First 5G Video Calling smartphones using its 3D Structured Light Technology. Although this might not be ready for the Find X, it could be demoed at the Find X launch event.
