Oppo R19 and Vivo X25 to launch with Pop-up cameras and in-display fingerprint sensors

Vivo Nex 7

Be it the Indian or the Chinese smartphone market, Oppo and Vivo are two brands that are leading the front in most ways. The subsidiaries of BBK Electronics have a wide array of smartphones under their brand. However, they are also leading the way for innovation in the smartphone world. The Vivo NEX and the Oppo Find X are two devices that stepped aside from the notch world last year. Now, come 2019, both smartphone brands are tipped to launch their new devices. Namely, the Vivo X25 and the Oppo R19.

Oppo R19 and Vivo X25 are coming

Thanks to a Chinese tipster, both the Oppo R19 and Vivo X25 are tipped to launch in 2019. What’s more is that these will be notch-less devices as well, while also having an in-display fingerprint sensor. While Vivo already has the Vivo NEX with a pop-up slider camera, the Oppo R19 could be a first for Oppo. Currently, it uses the slider module for the Oppo Find X. As such, a pop-out camera could be better. This could also be done for better durability since the slider on the Find X wasn’t that durable.

The tipster also reveals that the difference between the two smartphones would be the location of the pop-out camera. While Oppo will have the camera unit rising from the center of the top panel, the Vivo camera will rise from a little to the right. Additionally, both the panels will also come with OLED displays to aid the in-display fingerprint sensor.
