OPPO is planning a release of yet another mid-range device. Last week, the company launched a new brand called realme in India. All the products under this brand will be Amazon exclusives. OPPO also announced that the first smartphone under this sub-brand will be called the Realme 1 which will be released on May 15. The phone has been leaked today via its image and information about its processor and RAM configuration has also been revealed.
The leaked image shows a Diamond Black finish on the phone hence, making it look impressive. The image also shows a single rear camera with an LED Flash and Realme branding in the middle. The power button is on the right and the volume rockers are on the left side of the frame.
The processor on the Realme 1 has been revealed to be the Helio P60, a respectable contribution by MediaTek. The phone has been mentioned to carry a 6GB of RAM and there are chances of it having toned down RAM variants as well. The AnTuTu benchmark score of the beefy variant is cited to be 1,39,432, and the device logged single-core and multi-core scores of 1,524 and 5,871 respectively on Geekbench as well. AI selfies will obviously be the part of the Realme 1 and we can also expect it to come with AI-enhanced battery life.
The phone is mentioned to be a youth-centric offering. There is a tweet by Rajiv Makhni (Managing Editor of Technology, NDTV) which states that he has been using the phone for two days and it has completely surprised him with top-notch specs. He also mentions that if the Realme 1 comes with a price under Rs 14,000 it may take over all its competitors in this price segment.
