Today, Xiaomi has launched a new colour variant of its POCO F1 smartphone. There Rosso Red Edition will be available for purchase starting October 11. It has been closely managing its new sub-brand, POCO with an honest marketing at a kickass pricing. The handset has received great reviews from many established reviewers in the market. We had also reviewed this handset and really liked what Xiaomi has in-store for the aggressive price tag. Overlooking the cost cutting, the handset offers an impressive specs sheet.

After all the teasers it has been sharing this week with a hashtag #POCOgoesRosso , the brand has been showcasing how enticing this Red colour variant can be. And it could really up your style game, or can be a great companion to your already established stylish personality. It joins the POCO army of Graphite Black, Steel Blue, and Armoured Edition with Kevlar back that are already on sale since August.

To jog up your memory let’s talk about the POCO F1 specifications. It comes with a large 6.18-inch full-HD+ resolution display with 18.7:9 aspect ratio. It’s a 2.5D curved glass display with Corning Gorilla Glass protection. The internals includes Qualcomm Snapdragon 845 processor, which is accompanied by up to 8GB of RAM and 256GB of internal storage. Note that the storage can be expanded via microSD card slot.

The POCO F1 Rosso Red will be running on the Android 8.1 Oreo-based MIUI 9 and is upgradable to Android 9.0 Pie once available. There is dual rear camera support, which houses a 12MP + 5MP camera setup. The aperture is f/1.9 for the primary lens and it’s a 1.4-micron pixel size lens. On the front, you get a 20MP resolution camera for selfies. Both of the cameras are accompanied by AI capabilities for better scene detection and portrait shots with bokeh effects. All this is powered by a 4000mAh capacity battery with Qualcomm Quick Charge 3.0.
