Razer Phone came out as a gaming giant and changed the whole face of smartphone gaming. Keeping in line with that, the company is all set to bring its second edition soon. In China Joy 2018, an official announced that we can expect the Razer Phone 2 to hit the market in December this year. Today, the upcoming device has been spotted on Geekbench, spilling some precious beans about its specs.
The listing has actually proved the Chinese rumours false when it comes to the processor of Razer Phone 2. According to those reports, the upcoming Qualcomm Snapdragon 855 was the alleged powerhouse on the phone. However, the Geekbench listing clearly shows that we will get the Qualcomm Snapdragon 845 SoC.
If one looks closely, they can easily find some lower single and multi-core scores but as the phone is still in its initial stage, we shouldn’t consider these to be final. The Snapdragon 845 processor is not explicitly mentioned but we can find the base frequency and identifier to be the clear indicators of its presence.
The Razer Phone 2 is likely to come loaded with Android Oreo out-of-the-box but will likely upgrade to Android Pie after some time of its release. The phone is also likely to come with virtual 7.1 surround sound, which will be a major upgrade in comparison to its predecessor. In the listing, an 8GB RAM has also been specified. So, in this area, the phone will be identical to the original Razer flagship.
