Realme Band with color display, heart rate monitor, and USB direct charge feature launched in India at Rs 1,499

Realme introduces its first fitness wearable in India. Today at an online-exclusive event, the young tech lifestyle brand has launched Realme Band in India at a price of Rs 1,499. The new fitness tracking device will be adding one more genre to the company’s portfolio of devices. Let’s talk about the features, and availability of the band. 

Realme Band – Specifications & Features

Sporting a large 0.96-inch colour display, the fitness band from Realme can showcase more than 65,000 colours and display 64 letters on one page. This 5-brightness level display can be operated using a touch-button. Unfortunately, it’s not a touch screen. It has a gravity sensor, which enables the display when you lift your wrist. 

Talking about the design, it will be available in three colourful options including Yellow, Black, and Green. The band is made of TPU material, it is a wear-resistant, oil-resistant, and weather-resistant as well. It weighs only 20 grams and will feel lighter than most fitness bands in India, as per the brand. It is IP68 rated, which makes sure there’s no water damage done whenever the band comes in contact with the water spill over it. 

Speaking about the features, it has a real-time heart rate sensor, the PPG optical heart rate sensor claims to accurately measure the heart rate every 5 minutes interval. Apart from that, it can also monitor your sleep for understanding the patterns. So, you can better plan your sleep cycles. 

The Realme Band includes 9 different activity modes including a dedicated cricket mode, designed especially for India. These modes can be changed via the Realme Link app. Further data can be accessed using the Realme’s IoT application. Realme also teases the Direct USB charging feature, which helps you live cord-free. 

The battery capacity is said to be between six to nine days according to the usage of a heart rate sensor. With heart rate sensor-enabled, it will give six days, while without it expect it to last up to 9 nine days. 

Realme Band – Pricing & availability in India

The Realme Band will go on sale from March 9 on Flipkart, and Realme’s online store. The pricing of the band is Rs 1,499. It is in direct competition to the bands from Xiaomi and Honor.
