realme X7 series is finally official in India with the launch of realme X7 5G and the realme X7 Pro 5G smartphones. The much-anticipated phones were earlier launched in China, last year. Now, they arrive in India along with 5G capabilities. The non-pro variant realme X7 5G comes with latest MediaTek Diminesity chipsets, triple rear cameras, fast charging capabilities and more.

realme X7 5G — Display and Design

realme X7 5G brings in a 6.4-inches Super AMOLED punch-hole display. It comes with Full HD+ resolution and standard 60Hz refresh rates, however, there’s 180Hz touch sampling rate for the smoother gaming experience. The punch hole display further comes with Always-On display and equips an in-display fingerprint sensor, which claims to be faster than previous iterations.

On the design front, realme says, it’s designers have taken inspiration from mysteries in outer space and brings in two colour options — Space Silver and Nebula. The former comes with super thick indium coating, coupled with AG shower coating and frosted texture back. Nebula, on the other hand, is utilising non-spectral gradient finish, which is said to be a mix of rearranged multiple colour options.

The realme X7 comes with a MediaTek Dimensity 800U processor underneath. The chipset is built on 7nm process technology with clock speeds of up to 2.4GHz. It promises an 11% increase in CPU performance and 25% better in GPU when compared to the previous iteration. For graphics, the chipset here is utilizing an ARM Mali-G57 MC3 GPU. In terms of storage, the realme X7 5G packs in up to 8GB of RAM (6/8GB LPDDR4x) and 128GB of onboard storage (UFS 2.1).

The device is shipping with Android 10-based realmeUI out of the box, however, the company is promising realmeUI 2.0 update pretty soon.

The realme X7 packs in a decent 4310mAh battery capacity that further supports the company’s latest 50W SuperDart Charge technology. This tech promises to top up the battery up to 50% in eighteen-minutes and up to 100% in a mere forty-seven minutes. The company is also including a 65W charge adapter in the retail packaging.

As suggested, the realme X7 5G has triple AI-powered cameras on the rear. The 64MP f/1/8 sensor acts as the primary camera. Followed by an 8MP f/2.3 ultra-wide-angle camera with 119-degree field of view, and a 2MP f/2.4 macro lens. The punch hole cutout beholds a 16MP selfie shooter, which is a Sony IMX471 sensor with f/2.5 aperture.

The rear cameras feature 64MP mode, Super NightScape, Portati, HDR, Ultra wide mode, to name a few. They support up to 4K video recording at 30fps and additionally come with Cinema mode and UIS video stabilisation. The front camera also packs in a bunch of modes including — Portrait Mode, Timelapse, Panoramic view, Beauty Mode, HDR and more.

The other highlights of the realme X7 comprise — support for dual-band W-Fi, dual 5G standby with dual SIM, Bluetooth 5.1, GPS, features USB Type-C, and Hi-Res audio certification.

The realme X7 5G costs Rs 19,999 for the 6GB+128GB variant and the larger 8GB+128GB retails at Rs 21,999. The device will be available purchase starting from February 12th. The company is further offering new upgrade programs on Realme.com and Flipkart, which will allow users to get these devivces at a much lower prices.
