Redmi Earbuds S with up to 12 hours of battery life launched in India at Rs 1,799

Xiaomi has announced its new TWS earphones in India. After unveiling the Mi True Wireless Earphones 2, the company has announced Redmi-branded TWS, dubbed as Redmi Earbuds S. They are priced at Rs 1,799 and will go on sale from May 27 (12 PM) on Mi.com and Amazon. Let’s talk about the specifications and features below. 

Redmi Earbuds S – Specifications and Features 

Equipped with a 7.2mm dynamic driver unit, these tiny TWS from Redmi house will be offering a range of exciting features. The Earbuds S features the latest Bluetooth 5.0 chip, which makes it possible to offer seamless switching between mono and binaural mode. It further promises stable connectivity and twice the transmission rate when compared to the older BL version. 

It has a low latency mode, to be used during gaming. Enabling it is easy, all you need to do is three taps on the headset. There are multiple touch controls that allow you to play/pause music or launch the voice assistant. They weigh 4.1 grams each and are IPX4 rated, which means splash-proof. 

As far as the battery life is concerned, it comes with 4 hours playback time, while the charging case is supposed to give an extra 8 hours of battery backup. In total you get up to 12 hours of battery life. Each headset packs a 40mAh battery inside, while the charging case has a 300mAh battery capacity.
