Redmi K20 and Redmi K20 Pro launching in India

Easily the most awaited devices of the year so far in India have to be the Redmi K20 and the Redmi K20 Pro. Both were announced earlier this year in China, and have since then been touted to launch in India as well. For weeks, Xiaomi has been teasing and prepping the consumers for the Flagship Killer 2.0. And finally, we have a word on the device’s launch date.

Redmi K20 and Redmi K20 Pro launch date in India

In an official tweet, Redmi has confirmed that both the Redmi K20 and Redmi K20 Pro will launch in India on 17th July. There is no word on the pricing of the devices yet. That said, considering the super-competitive prices of both the devices overseas, and keeping in mind that India is the company’s biggest market, we can expect the Redmi K20 to be priced near the Rs. 20,000 mark. As for the Redmi K20 Pro, the Rs. 25,000 mark seems realistic.

Redmi K20 specifications

The Redmi K20 comes with a 6.39-inches display with a resolution of 1080 x 2340 pixels. The screen-to-body ratio of the device is at 91%. The Xiaomi Redmi K20 is powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 730 chipset. It is accompanied by a 6GB of RAM and 64, 128, 256GB of internal storage capacity. As far as the battery life is concerned, its 4000mAh battery juice claims a day’s life. In terms of camera, it packs a triple rear camera setup. Where the primary rear camera is of the 48.0MP and secondary rear camera is of 13.0MP. There is also an 8MP sensor. For selfies, you can make use of the 20.0MP front camera.

Redmi K20 Pro specifications

The Redmi K20 Pro features a 6.39-inches sAMOLED display with a resolution of 1080 x 2340 pixels. In terms of cameras, it features a triple camera setup. The primary rear camera is of the 48.0MP and secondary rear camera is of 13.0MP. There is also an 8MP sensor. For selfies, you can make use of the 20.0MP front camera. The Xiaomi Redmi K20 Pro is powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 855 chipset, accompanied by a 6GB of RAM and 64, 128GB of internal storage capacity. It comes with an in-display fingerprint sensor. The device is juiced up by a 4,000mAh battery.
