Xiaomi Redmi Note 6 to come with notch, suggests leaked front panel

Redmi 6 pro feature

This year’s extremely popular Redmi Note series came with a thin bezel design without succumbing to what countless other devices were less fortunate with – the notch. But it begs the question – will the Redmi Note 6 come with a notch design? A new leak out of China’s eternally spinning rumour mill, Weibo, suggests that it will.

Redmi Note 6: Moving to notch

As per the leak that shows two front panels of the Redmi 6 Pro and Redmi Note 6 side by side, it seems the Redmi Note will have to move inevitably in the direction the whole industry has slowly gravitated towards. The design that is portrayed by the panels shows somewhat thinner bottom bezels on the Note 6 compared to the Redmi 6 Pro. Besides that, we see little difference.

This is one of the very first leaks surrounding Xiaomi’ most popular selling device. Hence, there is very little info to go about talking on the subject. Although, some things like a Full HD+ screen and MIUI 10 with Android 8.1 Oreo are almost certain. The big question is regarding the processor and camera characteristics. Since the Redmi Note 5 came with a two-year-old Snapdragon 625, it is very much time we will see an upgraded processor. Also, Xiaomi’s other low-priced offerings like the Redmi S2/Y2 now have dual cameras, so it is logical to presume the same on the Redmi Note series.
