Xiaomi Redmi Y2 starts to get MIUI 10 stable update in India

When Xiaomi launched the Redmi Y2 in India, it also announced the global debut of MIUI 10 at the same event in New Delhi. That was around two months back. Today, the Redmi Y2 becomes the first device to receive a stable MIUI 10 update in the country. The handset was launched running MIUI 9.5 and a lot of people including Redmi Note 5 Pro users have been impatiently waiting for the new firmware.

Regarding the update itself, it comes with version number MIUI 10.0.1.0.OEFMIFH and is 501 MB in size which is fairly small. You might already be aware of the salient features of MIUI 10. Take a look below.

  • New multitasking page
  • System sounds with the nature theme
  • Faster app loading and browsing experience

Meanwhile, the Chinese version of MIUI is quite ahead of the Indian version as a number of devices like the Redmi Note 5, Redmi 6, Mi 8 SE, Mi 6 have also received the new redesigned Xiaomi skin.
