After much teasing, Samsung has finally made the Galaxy A8s official. The device comes with the much anticipated Infinity-O display. Basically, it has a cutout in the top-left corner of the display to house the selfie camera. The device has been announced in China, with details about its pricing to come later on.
Samsung Galaxy A8s specifications
The Samsung Galaxy A8s comes with a 6.3-inch LCD display with a resolution of 2340×1080 pixel and an aspect ratio of 19.5:9. It is the first smartphone available with a display cutout for selfies. Under the hood, you get the Qualcomm Snapdragon 710 processor. It will be available in two variants, the 6GB+128GB storage, and 8GB+128GB storage variant.
As for the camera, there is a 24MP sensor hidden inside the selfie cutout. On the back, there’s a triple camera setup of 24MP+5MP+10MP. The device will come with Android 8.1 Oreo alongside Samsung Experience UI.
Samsung Galaxy A8s price and availability
Samsung has announced the Galaxy A8s officially in China. However, the company has said that the price will be revealed later on when the device goes up on sale on December 21. As of now, there is no word on the pricing of the device.
