Samsung, the South Korean giant has revealed its two new Laptop offerings at the ongoing Samsung Developer Conference (SDC) 2019. The brand has introduced the world’s first QLED display enabled Laptops in the market. The panels, which it introduced on its premium range of Televisions are now available on its Laptops as well. Let’s talk more about the Galaxy Book Flex and Ion.
Samsung Galaxy Book Flex and Ion – Features & Specifications
Speaking about the display sizes, the Flex gets a 13-inch QLED display, while the Ion gets a larger 15-inch QLED display. Talking about the design, there’s a massive difference between these two machines. The Galaxy Book Flex, as the name suggest offers a 360-degree hinge and can be used as a tablet. It has an S Pen compatibility.
Whereas on the other end, the Galaxy Book Ion sports a traditional laptop form factor. The ion is manufactured by utilizing the lightweight magnesium-construction. It claims to offer enhanced portability. This model weighs less than 1 kg and is available only in one colour; Aura silver hue.
The Galaxy Book Flex brings in biometric security powered by Windows Hello. It also supports gesture control. The Flex comes powered by the 10th Generation Intel Core Ice Lake processor. It will be available in the Royal Blue hue. Whereas the Galaxy Ion will be powered by a 10th Generation Intel Core Comet Lake processor.
Talking further about the internal hardware, both of these offers up to 16GB of RAM, and up to 1TB of storage. The ports include USB Type-C, and Thunderbolt 3. The audio experience on both laptops is powered by AKG Stereo speakers.
Samsung Galaxy Book Flex and Ion – Price & Availability
