Samsung has today launched its three new fitness bands in India. They were globally launched, and today were announced for Indian audiences. Samsung has been lately quite active with its smartphone launches in India. And looks like the brand is now getting ready to ramp up it’s wearable offering in India. The fitness bands launched in India are Galaxy Fit, Galaxy Fit E, and Galaxy Watch Active. Let’s talk about the Galaxy wearables below in brief.
Galaxy Fit Features
Sporting a 0.95-inch full-color AMOLED display with 120 x 240-pixel resolution having 282 ppt pixel density. It supports full touch interactions. Talking about the sensors, it has a heart rate monitor, accelerometer, and gyroscope. With a 7 days battery life powered by a 120mAh capacity battery.
As far as the durability is concerned, it has a 5ATM water resistance, Military rating grade design. The health features include activity tracking on Auto and manual both. Plus, it can record sleep behaviour, continuous heart rate monitoring, and stress tracking. Other interesting features include DND Sync, Goodnight mode, roaming clock, and water lock mode.
Galaxy Fit E Features
The Galaxy Fit E is rather the same device with smaller 0.74-inch PAMOLED display and smaller battery size of 70mAh but claims to offer 7 days battery life. It offers the same durability rating as the Galaxy Fit, as well as the same health feature tracking minus some features. You get continuous HRM, activity tracking, auto workout, sleep behaviour analysis, and more. Instead of NFC charging on Fit, the Fit E offers pogo charging. Both the Galaxy Fit bands operate using BLE for connectivity with the smartphone.
Galaxy Watch Active Features
Samsung Galaxy Watch Active would be available in four colours including Silver, Black, Rose Gold, and Sea Green. It’s a 25-gram watch. It comes with a 1.1-inch 360 x 360 AMOLED. Note that it’s a full colour Always On display with Corning Gorilla Glass 3 protection. It comes with a 20mm interchangeable strap. As far as the battery life is concerned, it comes with a 230mAh capacity.
Powered by an Exynos 911 dual-core processor with a clock speed of 1.15GHz. It has a 768MB of RAM and 4GB of internal storage. It will be running on the Wizen based wearable OS 4.0. Coming to the charging, it comes with WPC-wireless charging support. It has a long list of sensors support, which includes Accelerometer, gyroscope, barometer, heart rate monitoring, and ambient light.
In case you’re wondering about the durability, then it offers 5ATM + IP68 rating, which makes it suitable for various activities involving water. Plus, the military rating of MIL-STD-810G makes sure it’s a solid body. The compatibility of the Galaxy Watch is with Android 5.0+ with more than 1.5GB of RAM and iPhones running iOS 9.0 and above.
The Galaxy Fit E price in India starts at Rs 2,590. The Galaxy Fit price starts at Rs 9,990. The Galaxy Watch Active will go on sale for Rs 19,990.
