Samsung Galaxy M02s is now official. While the whole industry is waiting for the premium flagship Galaxy S21 series to launch first, Samsung has quietly launched the Galaxy M02s budget smartphone. It comes in two storage variants, triple cameras, an Infinity-V display, a bigger battery and a Snapdragon 400 series processor. The first phone of 2021 from Samsung — the Galaxy M02s retails at Rs 8,999 for the base variant.

The Galaxy M02s comes as a successor to the Galaxy M01s featuring a bigger 6.5-inches Infinity-V display. It is an HD+ resolution screen with 20:9 aspect ratio. The display encloses in a haze and matte textured finish on the back. The finish makes the phone available in three colour variants comprising Black, Blue and Red.
The two variants of the Galaxy M02s include a 3GB of RAM and 32GB of onboard storage, which is the base variant. The bigger one comes in with 4GB of RAM and 64GB of onboard storage. Both variants support microSD expansion of up to 1TB. Under the hood, the Galaxy M02s equips Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 450SoC. The octa-core CPU achieves clock speeds of up to 1.8GHz, and for graphics, it has Adreno 506GPU.
The Galaxy M02s comprise triple rear cameras with 13MP sensor acting as the primary one. There is an additional 2MP macro sensor and a 2MP depth-sensing camera. These three cameras are accompanied by a LED flash and are housed in a rectangular module. Lastly, the latest budget device from Samsung equips a bigger capacity, which is 5000mAh. It further supports 15W fast charging.

The base variant of the Galaxy M02s retails at Rs 8,999 (for 3GB+32GB). And, the larger 4GB+64GB costs Rs 9,999. Both variants will be available through Amazon India, Samsung store and across all the retail stores.
