Samsung has been doing pretty well in terms of its budget smartphone business. The Galaxy M-series has had a positive response, with all the Galaxy M10, M20, and the M30 selling really well. Now, the company is said to be working on the latest entrant in the series, which is the Galaxy M40. In fact, it is touted to be the most expensive M-series smartphone, and that too by a good margin.

Samsung Galaxy M40 leaks

Speaking about the Galaxy M40, the device will be the first M-series phone to feature a punch-hole display which is dubbed as Infinity-O design by Samsung. Additionally, it will also feature a Snapdragon chipset as opposed to Samsung’s own Exynos processors. This chipset is rumored to be the recently launched Snapdragon 730. Also, the device is rumored to come with a triple camera setup as well. Considering that the Galaxy A50 was recently launched with an in-display fingerprint scanner, the M40 could also feature one.

Reports suggest that the device will come with either 64GB or 128GB of internal storage. There is no word on the RAM options, however. As expected, it will come with Samsung’s OneUI based on Android 9 Pie. Juicing the device would be a beefy 5,000mAh battery.

Samsung Galaxy M40 price in India

The Samsung Galaxy M40 is reported to come at a price tag of Rs. 25,000. Considering that the Galaxy M30 was launched at Rs. 14,990, the Galaxy M40 could see itself priced around ten grand more. Whether the price difference is justified or not, only time will tell. In the meantime, make sure to stay tuned to Mr. Phone for all the updates and buzz happening in the technology world.
