Samsung Galaxy S21 series is the next anticipated series from the handset maker, which is reportedly launching next month (January 14th). They could be the first flagship smartphones of 2021 featuring the latest Qualcomm Snapdragon 888 top tier processor. Ahead of the launch, German-based site WinFuture has put up several colour options of the Galaxy S21 series smartphones. These include the cheaper Galaxy S21 and S21+ and the top tier Galaxy S21 Ultra smartphone.
Samsung Galaxy S21 Series — Galaxy S21 Ultra
The premium flagship Galaxy S21 Ultra is featured in Phantom Silver colour variant, according to WinFuture’s images. It also indicates that this new Ultra would be the pricey model featuring a bigger 6.8-inches Infinity-O display. While the display appears relatively flat it still could be curved along the edges, the report suggests otherwise. The rear camera module has also been witnessed in the earlier leaks, and the new images showcase how they appears on the back.
The renders also indicate the rear cameras will lie flat on the camera module instead of protruding; however, the camera module still appears slightly raised from the actual phone. The rear cameras module is now integrated into the metal frame across the body. It seems Samsung is opting out of unibody design with this new camera module, which is a significant change from the Galaxy S20 series lineup.
While the showcased image appears in Phantom Silver colour, it seems likely that there would be a black variant as well, the report suggests.
Samsung Galaxy S21 Series — Galaxy S21 and S21+
While the Ultra is showcased colour variants appear limited, the Galaxy S21 phones on the other end seem to be featuring multiple colour variants. The Galaxy S21 and S21+ feature similar design aesthetics as the Ultra; however, the camera module is shorter as they come with triple rear cameras support. The displays here lie flat without any slightly curved edges and feature a punch hole aka Infinity-O display.
Coming to the colour options, the Galaxy S21 has more colour variants than the bigger Galaxy S21+ and the premium ultra, which is understandable as it’s the cheaper variant amongst the lot. While the S21+ is showcased in Black and the S21 can be seen in Black, Violet, and Orange.
The approach here is somewhat resembling Apple’s strategy. To elaborate, Apple launched iPhone 11 series last year; It included three iPhones — iPhone 11, iPhone 11 Pro and iPhone 11 Pro Max. The entry variant iPhone 11 featured several colour options while the Pros were settled in limited colour options. Same can be witnessed here, according to WinFuture renders. Nothing is official from Samsung, not even the launch date; hence this could be taken with a pinch of salt.
