Samsung will launch the Galaxy S9/S9+ at the MWC 2018. The company has started sending out press invites. The Galaxy S9 has been leaked through a couple of videos before its launch. The videos are not too elaborate but they are enough to give us a quick glimpse of the phone.
The videos show a device with thin bezels and Infinity panel which will give a better experience than the Galaxy S8 lineup. One of these videos has surfaced through Weibo. It shows the Galaxy S9 and its touch sensitivity in its testing phase.
Though it doesn’t show the UI, we know that the device will run Android Oreo. The video also shows the active display with a keyboard in the Chinese language. The keyboard is similar to the one on the Galaxy S8.
Hands-on videos of Galaxy S9 and S9+
A website has also released the hands-on video of both the devices. The report mentions the measurement of the Galaxy S9 and S9+. The former is speculated to measure 147.6 x 68.7 x 8.4mm. These dimensions make the device thicker than the Galaxy S8 while making it shorter and wider.
The Galaxy S9+ is likely to have the dimensions of 157.7 x 73.8 x 8.5mm. This device will also be thicker, wider, and shorter than its predecessor. Can their bigger batteries be the reason behind their thickness?
Samsung is also looking forward to upgrading its camera game through the new ISOCELL technologies. This will help in producing better image results while maintaining the thin overall profile. Low light images will be enhanced with a Tetra cell technology and the Smart WDR feature will equip the camera to click multiple exposures in a single shot.
The fingerprint sensor has also been shifted to a more comfortable spot. The phones are to be released at the MWC 2018 on February 25.
