Samsung Galaxy Tab S6, Galaxy Watch 4G, and Galaxy Watch Active 2 launched in India

Samsung has launched a trio of new products here in India. The company is one of the leading sellers in the tablet space and is hoping to expand on that with the launch of the Samsung Galaxy Tab S6. Additionally, the company also introduced two new wearables, namely the Galaxy Watch 4G and Galaxy Watch Active 2. Let’s see what they are all about.

Samsung Galaxy Tab S6

The Samsung Galaxy Tab S6 comes with a 10.5-inch Super AMOLED display that bears WQXGA resolution (2,560 x 1,600 pixels) 10.5-inch Super AMOLED display that bears WQXGA resolution (2,560 x 1,600 pixels). It is also the first tablet to come with an in-display fingerprint scanner. Under the hood, you get a Snapdragon 855 SoC with 6GB RAM and 128GB storage. In terms of cameras, you get a dual rear camera setup of 13MP+5MP. Upfront, there is an 8MP shooter for selfies. The Galaxy Tab S6 also sees the product get the S-Pen from the Note lineup. The pen magnetically attaches to the back of the tablet for easy storage and charging. It comes with some new features such as pause and skip videos, jump to the next slide, and more with a press of a button. As for specs, it has a 0.35mAh battery that can charge wirelessly and deliver 10 hours of juice upon charging for 10 minutes. The tab also comes with the company’s AI virtual assistant Bixby for hands-free control. There is a USB Type-C port at the bottom, but no 3.5mm headphone jack.

Samsung Galaxy Watch 4G

The Galaxy Watch 4G comes in two variants, 42mm and 46mm. The 46mm variant features a 1.3-inch Super AMOLED display with 360×360 pixels resolution, whereas the 42mm variant sports a 1.2-inch Super AMOLED display with the same 360×360 pixels resolution. Both sizes support a 22mm interchangeable strap. The smartwatch uses an e-SIM for connectivity and is compatible with Reliance Jio and Airtel in India.

It is powered by dual-core Samsung Exynos 9110 SoC, paired with 1.5GB of RAM and 4GB of inbuilt storage. Connectivity options include 3G/LTE, Bluetooth v4.2, Wi-Fi b/g/n, NFC, and A-GPS. Sensors include an accelerometer, ambient light sensor, barometer, gyroscope, and heart rate monitor.

Samsung Galaxy Watch Active 2

The Galaxy Watch Active 2 features a single 44mm size but can be configured in aluminum and stainless-steel case variants. It comes with a 1.4-inch round Super AMOLED display with a 360×360 pixels resolution that is covered by Corning Gorilla Glass DX+ for protection. The Galaxy Watch Active 2’s bezels are touch-sensitive, allowing users to interact with the smartwatch’s UI by moving their fingers in a clockwise or counter-clockwise direction over it.

The smartwatch is IP68 certified and rated to work at a maximum pressure of up to 5ATM. It is powered by the Exynos 9110 processor, paired with up to 1.5GB of RAM and 4GB of inbuilt storage.

Pricing and Availability

The Samsung Galaxy Tab S6 is priced at Rs. 59,900 here in India. The company is offering up to Rs. 5,000 off on HDFC Cards. There is also an introductory offer on the keyboard cover, which will be available for Rs. 5,499 (MRP 10,999). The Galaxy Watch 4G is priced at Rs. 28,490 and Rs. 30,990 for the 42mm and 46mm models respectively. Lastly, the Samsung Galaxy Watch Active 2 will retail for a price of Rs. 26,990 and Rs. 31,990 for the Aluminum and Stainless Steel options respectively. All the products will go on sale starting 11th October and will be available across Flipkart, Amazon, and Samsung Shop.
