Samsung is leaving no stones unturned to compete with the manufacturing giant, Xiaomi. The Korean company is gearing to launch the all-new online series of smartphones under a special tag “Samsung On”. As per listings on Amazon India, the first phone to debut under this online series will be the Galaxy On7 Prime. The prime feature that this smartphone will contain is the Samsung Mall and it will be pre-installed on the device.
Specifications of the Galaxy On7 Prime (2018)
The Galaxy On7 Prime (2018) has hit the GFXBench database and it has revealed full specifications of the device. The phone has a 5.5-inches display with a 1920 x 1080p resolution and a 16:9 aspect ratio. The smartphone will launch in two variants, one with 3GB of RAM and 32GB of internal storage and the other one 4GB of RAM and 64GB of internal storage. Both variants have the option of expanding memory available via microSD card by up to 256GB. It will be available in two colours – Black and Gold.
The device has a 12MP rear camera with a f/1.9 aperture along with a 12MP front camera with the same aperture without the flash module. It runs on Android 7.1 Nougat operating system and will launch on January 17.
The Samsung Mall is particularly a shopping app with Bixby Vision services. It allows users to shop on the basis of image recognition. This feature is not something new as it has already been running on Flipkart’s mobile app for quite some time now. The standout feature of the Samsung Mall is that users can use existing pictures of any particular product and start a visual search and shop their hearts out.
This means that this shopping app comes with an all-in-one shopping and a universal cart. Users can compare, review, and buy products from multiple portals. The Galaxy On7 Prime will come pre-loaded with Samsung Mini as well which allows users to make swift and easy payments.
